NYSCA's Dance Program celebrates New York as a global dance capital by supporting the professional dance field in all its diversity. NYSCA encourages the creation of new works and efforts to build audiences across the state. Organizations eligible to apply include: ballet, traditional modern and avant-garde, ethnic, jazz, and historical dance companies; dance service organizations; consortia serving management needs; and collectives of individual choreographers.

Program Goals
To support artistic excellence in dance, in all of the art form’s diversity and stylistic breadth, for inclusive audiences throughout New York State.
To bolster the New York State dance community by supporting service groups that provide administrative and technical assistance to dance artists and organizations.
To foster the creative process by supporting rehearsal time and space for choreographers, enabling the creation and production of new work.
