Katherine Nicholls, Chair

Katherine Nicholls is a New York based business executive with over 30 years experience in company leadership, operations and marketing.  Nicholls was the Chief Executive Officer of GreenGale Publishing LLC (formerly Niche Media Holdings) from 2011 to 2017, until completing of the sale of the company to Modern Luxury Media.  In recognition of her accomplishments as CEO, Nicholls was honored in 2014 with Folio Magazine’s Women in Media Corporate Visionary Award.  Prior to that she held executive positions at the company including Chief Marketing Officer (2007-2009) and Chief Operating Officer (2009-2011).  

GreenGale Publishing LLC owned and produced leading city regional lifestyle magazines in eleven cities throughout the United States including; Aspen Peak, Austin Way,  Boston Common, Capitol File, Gotham, Hamptons, Los Angeles Confidential, Michigan Avenue, Ocean Drive, Philadelphia Style and Vegas.  In addition the company had a successful custom publishing business and produced magazines for Wynn Resorts, Art Basel Miami Beach and The Mall at Short Hills.  During her tenure with the company, Nicholls championed the company’s mission to Connect, Captivate and Celebrate with Consciousness, ensuring that content reflected the style and sensibility of each market, while delivering editorial that resonated with the brands sophisticated, affluent audience of consumers and clients.  The oversized glossy magazines featured celebrity covers and covered local arts, culture and philanthropy, as well as fashion, dining and real estate.

 Prior to joining Niche Media in 2007, Nicholls had a twenty year career in marketing in the wine and spirits industry in both Canada and the United States.  Nicholls worked for leading organizations Schieffelin & Somerset (a joint venture between Moët Hennessy and Diageo PLC), and Diageo PLC.

Nicholls currently serves on the New York State Tourism Advisory Council, The New York State Council on the Arts, and the Brady Campaign To Prevent Gun Violence New York Leadership Council.
