Art of the Day: A National Exhibition of Women Artists at the Rockwell Museum

Today’s art comes from The Rockwell Museum’s Perspectives of the American Experience: A National Exhibition of Women Artists, which showcases representational works by female artists in a variety of media including painting, drawing, printmaking, and sculpture.

The exhibition is a collaboration with the non-profit organization American Women Artists and part of their 25 in 25 campaign, producing 25 museum shows over 25 years in honor of women in the visual arts.

“Juried shows like this help to bring awareness about the work of living female artists to help level the playing field," says Kirsty Buchanan, Curator of Collections, Rockwell Museum. "As The Rockwell Museum moves towards expanding our collection in this dedicated field, our featured exhibitions give us the opportunity to present the work of contemporary female artists.”

The Rockwell Museum is a NYSCA grantee in our Museum Program.
