Welcome to the new NYSCA website!

All NYSCA applicants must be Prequalified with New York State at the application deadline in order to be eligible for funding. Prequalification confirms organizations' fiscal and managerial capacity and integrity.

Returning applicants must ensure that their Document Vault is up to date and Prequalified. Update and submit your vault for review according to the steps below. 

New applicants must create and submit a Document Vault, according to the steps outlined below.

Please submit your Grants Gateway Document Vault no later than five business days before the application deadline. If you submit after this date, NYSCA cannot guarantee any issues that arise during staff review will be resolved by the deadline.

Compile Your Documents

To Prequalify, you will need the following current documents:

  • Certificate of Incorporation or equivalent document

  • IRS 501(c) determination letter

  • IRS 990 from the most recent completed fiscal year

  • Audit/Review and Findings from the most recent completed fiscal year

  • CHAR500 or CHAR410 from the most recent completed fiscal year

  • Board of Directors Profile

  • Senior Leadership Resumes

  • Corporate Bylaws

Log in to the Grants Gateway

Log in to the Grants Gateway. If this is your first time logging in, you will be prompted to change your password at the bottom of your Profile page. Enter a new password and click save.

Access Your Document Vault

Click the Organization(s) link at the top of the page and complete the required fields. This page should be completed in its entirety before you save. A Document Vault link will become available near the top of the page. 

If you are a returning applicant, this link will be available when you log in.

Complete Prequalification Application

New applicants must answer the questions in the Required Forms and upload Required Documents. 

Returning applicants must ensure that all Required Documents are up to date. To do so, please open and review your organization’s Prequalification Application Status Report, located near the bottom of your Document Vault page in Grants Gateway under the section entitled Management Screens.

After completing your Prequalification Application, click the Submit Document Vault link located below the Required Documents section to submit your Prequalification Application for review. Once submitted, the status of the Document Vault will change to In Review.

Reminder: The IRS 990, Audit/Review and Findings, and CHAR500/410 all expire on a yearly basis. For additional information, please consult the Grants Reform website.

Review and Approval

If your Document Vault  requires any modifications, you will receive email notification from the Grants Gateway system.

New applicants: When your Prequalification Application has been approved, you will receive email notification that you are now Prequalified to do business with New York State.

Returning applicants: When updates to your Document Vault have been approved, you will receive email notification that you are once again Prequalified.
